Hello everyone and welcome to THE MARKETPLACE! This column is a regularly appearing feature for Author Network.
As you journey down the bumpy, but very gratifying road of publication, it is my hope as poetry markets columnist that you will find my series of articles to be useful, for I will be listing on a quarterly basis, places where you can sell your poetry.

If you would like to try your hand at writing poetry for children, this is a well paying market. The magazine has four sections for various reading levels:
Countdown: ages 8-9
Blast Off: ages 9-10
Orbit: ages 10-11
Touchdown: advanced primary and secondary school readers
Send up to ten typed, double-spaced poems (100 lines in length or less each) with cover letter, SASE or SAE and IRCs. Previously published poems are acceptable, provided you inform the editor of the publication’s name and date the material appeared. Response time is two to six months. Magazine buys one time serial rights. Payment is AUS$ 30-$140 (depending on length) plus two copies.

Response time is about six months. Acquires first North American serial rights. Payment is one copy.
