Good performers are required for a series of six events taking place in London between October 2004 & April 2005. The sort of work we are looking for is stuff that is positive, inspiring, engaging, and is not too introspective. It must also be material that will reach out to non-poetry audiences. We are looking for poets who will feel comfortable performing at young, contemporary, music-oriented events (with DJs & such), and who are confident, chilled and have an engaging reading/performance style. Please send samples of your work (mp3/Real Media/Windows Media recordings preferred but written samples will be cool) to info@nupoetics.com, with the subject: ‘Performances’. If you’d like to send a tape or CD in the post, please email and we’ll send you a postal address. We cannot pay very much but it is a good opportunity to gain wider exposure.
